Retail brokerage firm Scottrade announced today that roughly 4.6 million customers? records were stolen in a security breach that occurred sometime between late 2013 and early 2014. The company says it was recently informed about the theft by federal law enforcement officials, and has reason to believe that hackers gained access to millions of its customers? names and street addresses.
